If your household needs food now or needs help buying groceries, use the steps below.
If you need help buying groceries
Apply for Arizona Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) through Health-e-Arizona Plus. You may apply for SNAP, AHCCCS and Cash Assistance from the same account. For help with a mailed application or interview, call the Arizona Department of Economic Security at 1-855-432-7587.
If you need food today
Call 211 and say your city, number of people in the household, whether you have transportation, and that you need the closest food box, meal site or emergency grocery program. Also ask Yavapai-Apache Social Services whether a Tribal food or emergency-assistance program is available.
What to have ready
- Identification and household member information
- Income and employment records
- Housing and utility expenses
- Requested verification documents
Eligibility rules apply; Tribal enrollment alone does not guarantee SNAP. A DES Community Assistor may help with the application and uploads.
