The Yavapai-Apache Nation Wildland Fire Crew is conducting a controlled slash pile burn in Middle Verde on Aug. 20, 2026, according to a notice from Yavapai-Apache Nation News.
Smoke may be visible in and around the Middle Verde area during the operation. The notice says the burn is controlled and that appropriate agencies and response channels have been notified.
