The Yavapai-Apache Nation will hold its next Quarterly Community Meeting on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona in Phoenix, according to an announcement published by Yavapai-Apache Nation News.

The Yavapai-Apache Nation has identified previously issued per capita checks that remain outstanding, according to a notice dated September 14, 2026.

Tribal members are asked to review the verified Outstanding Per Capita Check List before contacting the Enrollment Department. The notice states that members whose names do not appear on the list do not currently have an outstanding check.

• If a name appears on the list, contact the YAN Enrollment Department for assistance.
• Enrollment can confirm whether a check is available for pickup.
• If a previous check must be canceled and reissued, processing may take up to 10 days.
• Members are encouraged to verify that their current mailing address is on file and update it with Enrollment if needed.

The Yavapai-Apache Nation invites YAN voters, people interested in running for Tribal Council now or in the future, and youth ages 14–18 to attend the upcoming Building Up Stronger Leadership classes.

According to the announcement, the classes will address strong leadership and the importance of understanding the Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Constitution.

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Camp Crew departed the morning of Sept. 11 to support the Sand Creek Incident near Wisdom, Montana, according to the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

The assignment is the crew’s sixth of the year. The Nation said the crew was specifically requested for the assignment and continues to represent the Yavapai-Apache Nation and the Western Region Bureau of Indian Affairs through its work.

The Nation wished the crew safe travels and a successful assignment.

All eight Yavapai-Apache Nation runner positions for the upcoming 7 Generations Run have been filled, according to Yavapai-Apache Nation News.

The relay is scheduled for September 26–27, 2026, and runs from Fort Defiance to Phoenix. Yavapai-Apache Nation participants will complete the Chino Valley-to-Congress portion of the relay.

The Yavapai-Apache Police Department Neighborhood Watch Program and MATFORCE are inviting Yavapai-Apache Nation community members to a Youth Drug Trends presentation on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026.

The one-hour session will cover current youth drug trends in Yavapai County, including vapes, marijuana and prescription pill abuse. It will also address early warning signs, communicating with youth and available support resources.
